Our Prime Focus

Strafford Economic Development Corporation is an independent non-profit organization which provides and / or locates financial assistance for businesses in, or moving to, Strafford County, New Hampshire or Western York County, Maine. Our focus is on projects and businesses that are creating new jobs or retaining existing jobs.

Our Results

We have loaned or placed over $23,000,000 which has leveraged another $85,000,000. This investment has supported the creation or retention of approximately 3000 jobs directly. Economists generally point out those direct jobs support many more indirect jobs.

Our Approach

We believe that our process makes life easier for customers. Preparing one application for financial assistance - up front - under the guidelines we have put together, and then distributing that application to appropriate banks and agencies with a proposed finance structure, saves the customer and the financiers time and yields better results.
