About Us
Our Mission
Southeast Economic Development Corporation leads the region
in the enhancement of its industrial and business base to
improve the standard of living, quality of life and economic
vitality of our communities. Our mission is promotion of
growth and health of the regional economy. Our actions
create employment opportunities, foster skills and
capacities of the workforce, and promote the development and
expansion of businesses and non-profit organization.
Currently, under the governance of an eight member Board of
Directors consisting of local business leaders and
professionals, Director Dennis McCann and the SEDC staff
continue to innovatively meet the organization's objectives.
SEDC's Focus
Southeast Economic Development Corporations is an
independent, non-profit regional development corporation
committed to the creation and retention of jobs in the
Strafford County area, as well as Manchester, Bedford,
Goffstown and New Boston. The Board and staff of SEDC focus
on securing and providing financing to assist businesses
through various stages of growth and retrenchment.
In the eleven years we have been established, we have
assembled one of the largest revolving loan funds in the
state. We will buy or construct buildings for lease or sale
to organizations where that is necessary to grow or preserve
a business. We have fostered long and successful track
records with various federal, state, local and private
sources of finance for many different business uses.
Our staff and directors have a broad scope of experience in
business, lending and investment. We understand what it is
like to create, drive and grow a successful business. We
seek to help, not hinder, that process. We have placed over
$17,000,000 to businesses in our area, and brought in over
$70,000,000 more by way of locating and leveraging financial
assistance. This has resulted in the direct creation or
retention of over 2,075 jobs, primarily for low and moderate
income people. It has indirectly contributed to another
4,000 jobs.
