SEDC Staff

Effective economic development requires the ability to recognize potential projects, to structure deals innovatively and to take risks appropriately.  Our staff consists of experienced and dedicated individuals who use their strengths to provide businesses with the finance and resources they need to grow and thrive.

Southeast Economic Development Corporation Staff

Dennis H. McCann is the Executive Director of SEDC.  McCann has over 20 years of experience in economic and community development finance.  In 1997, he was hired to start up the operations of SEDC.  Now, SEDC has one of the largest revolving loan funds in the state, both in dollar volume and number of loans.  Prior to SEDC, he was Economic Development Specialist for the NH Community Development Block Grant Program.  There, he was involved in $50,000,000 worth of projects in 43 communities. 

McCann also worked five years in manufacturing for Moore Business Machinery, and also spent several years with the NH Department of Environmental Services and the US Geological Survey, and has been proprietor of his own business part-time.  In addition to his academic degrees, he has been licensed in real estate and holds certifications in Economic Development Finance, Economic Development and Affordable Housing Production.

Ute Luxem

Ute Luxem is the Business Finance and Planning Specialist at SEDC. Ute holds a degree in Managerial Economics from Badische Banking Academy in Rastatt, Germany, and a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Business Administration from Granite State College.  She has over nine years of experience in banking and mortgages in both Europe and the United States.
