Dennis H. McCann (Excutive Director)
Dennis H. McCann is the Executive Director of Strafford Economic Development Corporation of New Hampshire. McCann has over 20 years of experience in economic and community development finance. In 1997, he was hired to start up the operations of SEDC. Now, SEDC has one of the largest revolving loan funds in the state, both in dollar volume and number of loans. Prior to SEDC, he was Economic Development Specialist for the NH Community Development Block Grant Program. There, he was involved in $50,000,000 worth of projects in 43 communities.
McCann also worked five years in manufacturing for Moore Business Machinery, and also spent several years with the NH Department of Environmental Services and the US Geological Survey, and has been proprietor of his own business part-time. In addition to his academic degrees, he has been licensed in real estate and holds certifications in Economic Development Finance, Economic Development and Affordable Housing Production.
Jean R. Gill (Assistant Director)
Jean R. Gill currently serves as Assistant Director. Prior to joining SEDC, Mr. Gill served as Chief Operating Officer of MerchantBanc, LLC, a private investment firm located in Manchester, NH.
Experienced as a commercial lender with local independent banks and the US Small Business Administration, Mr. Gill has over 40 years of expertise in lending to small and medium sized businesses in New Hampshire. He has also worked for the Department of Treasury as a bank examiner.
Mr. Gill is a veteran of the US Army and a graduate of St. Anselm College with a degree in Economics.
Karin Lium (Portfolio Administrator)
Karin Lium is the Portfolio Administrator at SEDC, where she is regularly in touch with existing customers. Lium has an extensive background in financial administration and management, having worked as a municipal bond analyst, cost analyst, cash management administrator and fund co-ordinator for a nuclear plant decommissioning.
She received her MBA with a concentration in finance from Boston University and is a certified cash manager.
