Dennis H. McCann Profile

Dennis McCann was hired in 1997 to start up SEDC from scratch.  Now SEDC operates one of the largest business revolving loan funds in the state.  Prior to SEDC, he had been the Economic Development Specialist at NH Office of State Planning.  He oversaw $50,000,000 in community facility, housing and economic development projects in 43 communities across the state within the state Community Development Block Grant program.  He originally became involved in Community Economic Planning and Development as a volunteer in the Recession of 1981.
A lifelong entreprenuer, other employment experience includes manufacturing (Moore Business Machinery), journalism, technical and legal writing (NH Environmental Services), and collection and mapping of data (US Geological Survey).  He also has an extensive record of community involvement at the municipal, regional and state levels as well as non-profit boards.
