Stephanie Benedetti is a Financial Development Officer at SEDC. Stephanie will assist in the development of Strafford county’s main street businesses and small business development throughout the area.
Prior to joining SEDC, Stephanie’s area of expertise comes from financially managing government funded private engineering, construction, and planning development projects. As the former business and financial manager of an architectural cost construction firm in New York City, she brings an extensive amount of financial, small business planning, and community development knowledge to the organization. Stephanie holds her BS in Business Management with a minor in Accounting from SUNY at Farmingdale. Katherine Clarcq is the Portfolio Administrator at SEDC. Clarcq manages customer loans and works with our customers on a regular basis by providing them assistance with their loans as needed. Clarcq's background is in accounting and included working as a performance and financial auditor for the State of New Hampshire. She is also a veteran of the Peace Corps.
Clarcq is a CPA and received her MPA (Master of Public Administration) from the University of Connecticut. Dennis McCann was hired in 1997 to start up SEDC from scratch. Now SEDC operates one of the largest business revolving loan funds in the state. Prior to SEDC, he had been the Economic Development Specialist at NH Office of State Planning. He oversaw $50,000,000 in community facility, housing and economic development projects in 43 communities across the state within the state Community Development Block Grant program. He originally became involved in Community Economic Planning and Development as a volunteer in the Recession of 1981.
A lifelong entreprenuer, other employment experience includes manufacturing (Moore Business Machinery), journalism, technical and legal writing (NH Environmental Services), and collection and mapping of data (US Geological Survey). He also has an extensive record of community involvement at the municipal, regional and state levels as well as non-profit boards. Jean R. Gill currently serves as Assistant Director. Prior to joining SEDC, Mr. Gill served as Chief Operating Officer of MerchantBanc, LLC, a private investment firm located in Manchester, NH.
Experienced as a commercial lender with local independent banks and the US Small Business Administration, Mr. Gill has over 40 years of expertise in lending to small and medium sized businesses in New Hampshire. He has also worked for the Department of Treasury as a bank examiner. Mr. Gill is a veteran of the US Army and a graduate of St. Anselm College with a degree in Economics.
